Hi guys,

Searched the Forum but didn't find exactly what I am looking for.

I want to get some sensor porn to get a better understanding how the car feels. My current preferal would be to do that on an Ipad. Am i on the right Track ? Which OBD2 Adapter to use and which Ipad App ? Where's the Location of the Connector ?

Highly appreciating your input

Best

Matthias

We use the GoPoint bluetooth OBD device. Works well with Harry's Grand Prix Edition. Just add the FGT gear ranges in Harry's and you're all set. Show's tach, gear selected and something else I forgot. ODB plug is by your left knee in the driver's seat. Just plug it in, pair it with your iPhone or whatever and nothing else to do, works automatically from then on. You might also want to get a remote GPS bluetooth receiver, the Dual XGPS150 increases the refresh rate on your iPhone by at least 5x. There is a little firmware update you need to do with it to get the full 5hz experience, but easy and worth it. Enjoy.

ed; so while you're ordering all that stuff, buy an iPhone suction mount for the windshield. You'll want that too. yeehaa.
ed,ed; The GoPoint package also has an available app for the iPhone to trouble shoot your car. Also shows coolant temp in Harry's an maybe more stuff if you dig around in it.

Thanks for your advice, highly appreciated.

GoPoint Device arrived in the meantime, working properly.

Immediately found some quirks, complaining about occasional misfires on cylinder 3 and 5.

Check your sparkplugs - might as well replace them as a good starting point. If you are stock or have a pulley upgrade, I would recommend the NGK TR6IX. If you are running 19 or more psi of boost (whipple, for example) you may also consider a TR7IX. Note: Sparkplugs can look good and still be bad. If you are chasing a misfire condition, start the process with fresh plugs.

Will go with the tr6ix, have 630rwhp by headers, sport cat and probably a tune. Sounds reasonable ?
