No sound from my passenger door tweeter

I’ve notice the tweeter on my passenger door is dead. The speaker below is still functional. Do both of these speakers feed off of the same channel from the amp? The only way I can to think to diagnose the problem is to swap the tweeter from the driver’s door. Suggestions please!
Is this a common issue? Does anyone have a removal procedure for the door panels?

Not a common problem. Did you accidentally not connect something when you put in the usb Bluetooth adapter? I believe Northwood GT has one for sale on eBay.

I had the same problem with my 05 a few years back and it was the amp. But I would test the tweeter before assuming anything.

Dr. F it wasn’t working before Bluetooth install, I’m just getting around to looking into it.
I noticed Northwood had one for sale, that’s what made me think about it again.

Was your mid range speaker still working?
How much did the amp set you back?

Yes The midrange was fine. I can’t remember but I believe it came from X2 builders and no idea what I paid back then

Lately I've noticed what sounds like fan noise coming from the Subwoofer/amp module between the seats (I'm pretty sure it has a cooling fan inside). Anyone else experience this? Is it a sign of impending doom?

Yes it has a fan. I would take it out and try and find a replacement from Jameco or some of the other electronic parts houses. Very likely a 12 volt DC fan.

only one answer, stainless exhaust system

There is also a cross over module behind the door panel (accessible with out disturbing the vapor barrier). Pulling your 1st door panel is stressful. 2nd goes much faster. I used a long pry bar to reach in to get the higher X-mas tree fasteners.

Last time I used my radio was 11 years ago. I have no idea if it even works !

AJB, that's cause your wife always travels with you.

Thanks. I'll probably wait until it makes more noise or fails. I don't hear it once the car is running and rolling down the highway.

Install the Ford Racing muffler and your tweeter will work fine!! especially with no cats! lol

Just seeing this comment... Ironically that’s what I’ve planned to do!

Yeh! You can use the hole to store gloves or guns an ammo depending on your persuasion.

I just have some racing cats and the original exhaust. More than enough drama for me.

I think my speakers all work but both of my ears have failed. I wish there was a fix for that at any price.
