New to GT ownership: Midnight Blue 2006 no-stripe GT in El Paso, TX

Welcome! Thanks for bringing such a great looking GT with you!

Welcome! Thanks for bringing such a great looking GT with you!

Except for mine, that's my favourite GT. Well, certainly top 10. ;-) Congrats.
Thanks, guys!!

Nice let's see a pic of the Ruf
I have a Gt2 that I'll keep forever

Sure thing. Being that this is the Ford GT site, I'll leave a glimpse of the GT to somewhat stay on topic. :wink :

Welcome and congrats. Your name looks familiar. Long term member of the Supra Forums?

Yes. I was into Supras for quite some time.

Nice choice. Congrats.

Nice ! 2 or all wheel drive ? HP?

Ruf is hot!! Like Rockeman, I am also a fan of black turbo'd 911's. I just wish I could drive mine like him too. :D

Congratulations!!! A very special car indeed, it is one of a kind. If you have the McIntosh radio it was built on 8/18/2006 and if you have the standard radio it was built on 6/20/2006 and originally sold on 7/13/2006. Want to know more just ask.

AWD with 3.8 and conservatively rated 650hp (Actual hp on their engine dyno was 730hp+)
Most surprising to me is the steering feel vs, say, a 997TT. The best way I can describe it is it drives/rides like a 997.1 GT3 I had prior. The steering feels nothing like any AWD (super)car I've driven as it is not numbed down at all (vs 997TT, Gallardo, Panamera Turbo, Murcielago, etc.). It also has a killer top end rush unlike the 997TT's I have driven with their flatter torque curve.
The only mod I've done is a Numeric shifter and XM radio (must-have for solo road trips), if that counts.
Of course, none of these compare to the GT's tabletop-flat torque curve, lol.

Very cool!! Thanks!!
It has the Mac.

I knew it would be very difficult to find another with this color and no-stripes which is why I jumped on it.

You didn't ask to know more so I assume you don't particularly care for details so I won't bore you but it was ordered built to spec for Coughlin Ford in Johnstown Ohio on 6/13/2006.

I checked build date and it was actually 1/06

Then yours may have been altered after it left the factory.... do you have the window sticker? There were no midnight blue/no stripe GTs made in January 2006. Is your VIN 1846? The ONLY 2006 Midnight Blue, no stripe, Mac, lightweight wheels, red calipers was made 8/18/2006.

I looked at my window sticker and it did not come with top stripes but it did come with side stripes.

OK, you are 366... pretty rare, yours is one of only two made like that. It was built on 1/20/2006. Ordered to specifications on 11/15/2005 for a "Mr. R.M." (rather than use his name) by Hines Park Ford, New Hudson, MI. It arrived at the dealer 1/25/2006 but wasn't placed into service until 6/16/2006. If you are into documentation for your cars I can provide more info on this one.

Thanks, Quikdraw!

I've been racking up miles and it needed some cleaning. Had my detailer go at it:
