Superfly, congratulations on purchasing the most amazing vehicle on the planet. :banana
Since you have been lurking for awhile, you already know this group of enthusiasts is the best in the world.:thumbsup

I'm about as far north as the GT makes it way (maybe). There are a few others here in town too though. Anyway, the air is thin here (thank goodness for Supercharging!!), the roads are bumpy, and the race track is a LONG WAY AWAY. But having said that, I saw a Maserati MC12 on the road here yesterday, but I'm sure that it was only in town to watch the Indycar race (so we do have ONE race track, but it's an airport all year until the one big race event - that should be a big enough hint, right?)

Welcome to the forum Superfly :thumbsup
You are proof that there are some people in Edmonton that have great taste in cars.:biggrin

:cheers
Trent

welcome to the group, hope you can make it to the rally, that way when you whipple your car you know youre making the right decision.:biggrin

this is a great site!

Tim, you've REALLY got an addiction to these cars!! That's quite a collection!! :thumbsup

Stewart, Silver1331, Blue Moose, thanks for the welcome.

KJRGT, you're absolutely right about this being the most amazing vehicle on the planet!! Certainly the most amazing vehicle I've driven and I have been lucky enough to have driven some pretty special cars!!

Trent, it's cool to have someone else from Alberta here on the forum!! Heck, it's cool just to have someone else from Canada!! :cheers

Soroush, mmmm rally. Mmmm, whipple!! I don't think I'm gonna be able to make this years' rally, but 'm gonna try!!

And AC, thanks. I'm almost glad I didn't get your Jag because if I did, I wouldn't have picked up the Heritage. I would have been ecstatic with either one, and I'll still get an E-type down the road, but this GT is just a whole 'nother class of car!

Thanks again for the warm welcome guys! This is an amazing site. And there has been a plethora of additional information opened up since I became a paid member!! :biggrin Very cool!! Thanks Bony!! :cheers

Welcome 'Fly. You ought to try and make the rally. The only thing better than a GT in your garage is about a hundred of them together on the road.

Thanks Chris. It's a time commitment. I've already taken WAY too many days off (is that truly possible? :lol). But the thought of seeing 100+ GT's screaming down the road is truly mind blowing!!

Does your GT ever make it up to Idaho? I love the Gulf stickers and horseshoes on it! :cheers

Welcome 'fly. You're fortunate to own one of the greatest cars ever created. And better yet, to be part of the best run forum on the web. The car and this on-line crowd combined make it a unique experience. Enjoy.

At the risk of sounding trite, should've bought RED! Welcome to the Forum. Remember, most importantly, don't punch it with the wheel turned.

Ehhh, how do you donuts then?

:biggrin :rofl :lol

t32b, you're right, I feel like this is a big extended family already. Can't wait to meet the dysfunctional relatives. If there aren't any, it must be me! :willy

fjpikul, I almost did buy RED!! It was this one, a red one or a tungsten one that really lit me. But for me, as a complement to my 911TT, the Gulf color was perfect. And now, the more I look at it (which is a LOT), I really, Really, REALLY like this blue which is set off perfectly by the orange! :thumbsup

Thanks guys. I'm REALLY enjoying this car, even when it's just sitting in the garage and I go out to look at it. Actually, it's more like I come in to get a drink and then go back out to look at it some more!! I've been really cautious so far when driving, it's not like my 911TT which has 4WD and electronic nannies up the yin yang to keep me in check. It is so very wide and so very noticed by everyone on the street. Barney Fife lookout indeed!! But oh my gawd is it ever fun!! I know that you all already know that. And I can see why so many of you have more than one!!! :cheers

Well, I am one of those sicko multi-GT owners. My Heritage has not made it to Idaho, but my white GT lives full time in in the state. The others bask in air-conditioned comfort back in South Florida.

Congratulations and Welcome. This Forum can be as addictive as the GT. Between the two, your life will never be the same...and that's a good thing :thumbsup :cheers

Thanks Kirby, not just for the welcome, but also because it was YOUR friend that bought AC's E-type. If he didn't buy it, I wouldn't have picked up the GT, but when I lost out on AC's Jag, it finally pushed me over to say "OK, I'm not missing out on another car, and the GT I found was perfect (for me)". So anyway, thanks again, for both things :biggrin

Welcome !!
