Hola Everybody! My name is Luke I'm from South Florida and although I'm not a current GT owner I'm in the market and currently checking out a nice fully built twin turbo car down here in South Florida and tossing the idea of buying it back and forth after some minor negotiation with the owner. Looking forward to being part of a great site!

Welcome Luke to the Best Forum in the World... Good luck with your search.

Please let us know when you finally pull the trigger and please post some photos!

Will do! I have a phone meeting scheduled with the owner tomorrow so we'll see how she goes.

Luke,

'Respectfully suggest you have a PPI done by a FGT expert on whatever car you intend to buy B4U plunk down a dime...unless you personally know the car's complete history and/or know its owner very well. 'Could save you a lot of $$$$$$ and hassles down the road.

Welcome aboard!

Especially a TT car! There are many more paths to hell than there are to Heaven. (Plenty of ways to hurt a TT car.)

Several of us in the area who own them.....don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

Well said

I appreciate that guys! I'm planning on going through all the normal stuff compression, leakdown, as well as inspecting the intake tract and catch cans for excessive oil etc etc. I'm pretty well versed in this kinda stuff if I had more time I'd build one myself. This would be my second have had a Whippled GT previously that I regretably sold, but needed a bigger house with another baby on the way so let her go. I actually own a performance shop... 20 years in the industry, but thats not why I'm here.

In adition to what you mentioned, a thorough PPI would include a heavy emphasis on the structural components/suspension pieces/body parts of the car as well. THERE'S where some really big bux could be involved if all is 'not right'. A Ford GT expert would know exactly what to look for and where. So, I would still encourage you to have a PPI done by a pro. :wink :thumbsup

Thanks I'll make sure to do that.

Luke I live in Dania, but i won`t be home for 10 more days . i`ll show you my nonturbo gt. it`s not for sale

Hope to see you back in a GT.. We''ll need to get all the GT guys together at the Tower Shops, We have't done that a while
