Update

Got a phone call from Andrew (Exoticare) today to tell me that he and Terry (shesgotlegs) did a photo shoot of the final prototype anodized seat insert on Terry's car. WOW:eek:eek These turned out awesome:banana I want to give another big THANK YOU to our Canadian friends who have taken their time to make sure these parts turn out perfect for all involved. Shipping should be a reality within two weeks as all of the parts are made and the anodizing process will be completed late this week:cheers

Update

Andrew (Exoticare) will pick up the inserts from the polisher tomorrow morning to drop off at the anodizer for the finishing touches. I would say within a few days from there the parts will be off back to the U.S then the shipping will begin. Thanks for everyone's patients during the process as I know you won't be disappointed.:banana

Received a call from the anodizer today to tell me the parts are completed and will ship back to the US tomorrow:banana For our Canadian members Andrew will ship yours out directly so you will be the first to receive, install, and give a complete report on your thoughts as well as posting some pictures:biggrin I will ship out the others as soon as they hit my grubby little paws:thumbsup

I am scheduled to pick these up tomorrow. If so will, install and get pics posted for all, but especially John.:banana

UPDATE

I just received and installed a set of these; stunning!

Pe2unia and his team did one heck of a job.

Here are a couple pictures to hold you over.

Now as for the installation; I found that removing the 8 Torx screws at the back side of the seat and then leaving the rear two plastic pieces in position while only removing the front portion worked very well. Once the Torx are removed all you need to do is slightly lift the outer corner of the front portion; one side and then the other and the pieces will come apart and then slide out the OEM plastic front piece and then slide the new CNC billet aluminum piece in position and then gently squeeze all of the pieces together after which the 8 new Allen cap bolts will go right into place and allow for the complete assemble to be cinched.

Thanks Bill but as you know Andrew, Dale, anodizing company, and our machinist played a huge part in providing such a stellar piece so my hat goes off to them for giving their all on this project!:cheers Also your seal of approval means a ton and for that I say Thank You:thumbsup

You and your team are very welcome.

I know that it took many folks with you remaining the "Puppet-Master" to bring this project to term; they are truly fricken awesome!!!

BTW I edited my post to reflect 8 OEM Torx to be removed per seat and then 8 new Allen cap bolts for the assembly.

John and guys picked up the inserts today from Andrew. Just finished installing them 10 minutes ago. Took only about 20 minutes in total to do.
First thing I noticed was how light these 2 pcs are! When I saw the pictures of the solid block they were made from I thought for sure they would be much heavier. Nope. I think they are even lighter then the OEM parts. You do use the same OEM back parts of the seat inserts so do not break those, especially the tabs.
The inserts are of excellent quality and make. Match the hot buttons perfectly. The GT in the center is a very nice detail. John, Andrew and Shadowman have all said these add to the fit and finish. Correct! No question they should have been there from the begining. The perfect cherry on top with the seat hot buttons with out a doubt. No one will be dissapointed with these exqusite pieces of eye candy for the interior.
Excellent work John and Andrew!!!!:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

This feels really odd to me as I am usually the first to have the new bling installed but in this case Shadowman and Angelo get the honors. We are really glad to hear all of the positive feedback and come on Monday as I expect the rest of the orders will arrive in my hands to ship out on Tuesday:banana

John I now get to see and feel what you feel to be the first to try out new parts :biggrin and see the results of all the hard work and testing. I guess I am the first Canadian :thumbsup and Shadowman the first Amercian to actually install the finished, ready to market product.
Thank you for the honour and opportunity to do this.:bow
Again the parts are excellent, install and fit perfectly!! :thumbsup:thumbsup
:cheers
