My battery is approaching 5 years and I decided to order a new one from FORD. My dealer told me that when an order is placed, Ford goes to Optima for a new red top. They put the GT label on it and ship to the dealer. Retail is about 190.00 and they sold it to me(a good customer) for 160.00 plus disposal and tax for a total of about 179.00.
I put it on the battery maintainer to ensure fully charged first. Disconnected old battery per manual disconnect black first then red. Installed new battery connecting red first then black.
Car started right away and had no electrical issues.

Hmmm....mine was $134 from Ford.

I just picked one up and the list on the invoice was only $167 and I only paid $127 +tax. You may want to talk to your dealer.

Here the poor guy is all proud and happy and what do guys go do.....Ruin it.

I will fix that. My dealer charged me $209 after what he called a "good customer" discount.
.

In the end you have a new battery and IMO if the service was good then the price as shared by all are fair
