An important place during the development of our cars was the 7.8 mile track known as Nardo, has been bought by Porsche.

Perhaps due to the speculated closure of the 'Ring?

What? More info? I can't imagine them shutting that down.

Probably just to piss off Ferrari.

I'll have to dig into it. I heard that more than once from a colleague that lives in neighboring Nurburg.

As you can imagine, there have been many accidents there in "use" of the road (FYI - it is a toll route and part of the Autobahn on normal days) when it isn't rented for closed course events. Apparently the discussion was to cut-it up into sections making it more of a normal road to discourage use.

I can see that. Or -- Ich kann das sehen....:biggrin:biggrin

I'm sure it doesn't help that the actual Nurburgring facility is a total boondoggle. Awesome place, and I'm glad I've been there, but I can see how it would be a major source of frustration.

You may have seen that video of the CR-V biting it extremely hard this week, as there was a blue Raptor on the circuit at the same time.
