When removing the passenger seat for Knight's I ran across this bracket. What is it?

No mystrey, it is a child seat bracket. I took mine off a long time ago and left it off.

Yes, that is exactly what it is, and I took mine off years ago too, but now my almost 3 year old grandson wants to sit in the car and have me start it up every time he comes over, so I'm going to put it back in.

Referred to as Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren (LATCH).

Gee, think I have kids? There was a day that I did not know of such things.

No way you too are grandparents, no way....

Mine long gone.

Hope to put that to good use once my daughter and eventually my son are big enough for a booster.

Good place to bolt down your nitrous bottle.

That's funny, if the bottle ever leaks. :lol

I read it isn't advisable to mount the bottle inside the car.

Take it out. You'll appreciate evey bit of "luggage" space. That will gain you about 0.05 cubic feet. :)

You gotta love this response !

I used the spacers and bolts from the bracket to make a fire extinguisher mount.

It looks very nice, but how do you get to it quickly when the cars is on fire?

It actually slides out easily once the bottle is lifted. I also have a safecraft halon system installed.

I guess unlike me, you don't have your passenger seat all the way back. Does this pass tech inspections at most tracks?

I do keep the passenger seat far enough forward to reach it. Not sure on tech inspection.
