I bought a GT a few days ago and it has just been loaded into an InterCity truck today. I should receive it in less than a week.

Any advice on registration in CA. I read that some people in CA got CSAA or AAA to do the registration without a smog test. I will give it a try in my load office.

I hope my driving record doesn't get any more points on it!

How do I get my status changed to owner?

BlackICE

Your driving record won't suffer. NONE of us ever go over the speed limit :bs

Enjoy Enjoy, then enjoy some more.

Congrats, what color? stripes?

Blue with stripes. I was looking for a blue no center stripe, but side stripes and forged wheels and no other options. I couldn't find anyone to order me one for MSRP. But dealers kept calling me to sell me cars that they have on hand. The price was right on this one so I bought it. I will rip out the subwoofer to get close to what I wanted.

Here is a photo of it being loaded into the truck.

Oops, the photo was too big. Here is another try.

I don't know. I wasn't there. He may have pushed it in, or climbed out of the window.

Centerpunch are you going to buy your car? I would prefered to have my car optioned like yours but with the side stripes. If you can get it for <= msrp, go for it! I was waiting to get one like that, but time was running out on ordering a car. Dealers didn't seem to eager to order a no option car for msrp and I only found 2 with an allocation they could change.

After I rip out the subwoofer and repaint the calipers I will have what I want.

As of today, the car was finally given ready-to-ship status at Wixom, and I think I will probably buy it when it shows up.

Gulp.

Yes, but once the decision is made and the cash is gone, then it will be NIRVANA!!!! Your car is both stunning and and as subtle as a GT can be and I know you'll love it. Congratulations and thanks again for sharing so much good information.

KJD, that's very exciting about your new car - I love to see delivery (or despatch) pictures of exotic cars by their new owners because it brings home the excitement of the moment!

A friend of mine in America recently took delivery of a Vanquish S and was able to go to the airport and personally break open the wooden crate it arrived in (by air). An amazing series of photos!

Thanks for sharing yours.... N

Great pics, a NEW baby arrives. luv it :banana

Its exciting to see her being loaded. She should arrive right when our weather gets better.

Neilda,

Must be a mistake, mine's not due for a couple of months. My comment was referring to Centerpunch's baby!!!

I wish it was my car!!!! Hope all's well in the sunny U.K.!!!!

Indeed it is thanks! Very sunny but quite cold - a wee bit of snow in Scotland and much salt to contend with on the roads down here in the south.

Not quite GT weather, so mine lies patiently in heated comfort awaiting the first few rays of spring!

I might be taking an interest in a property in Le Mans, just running some numbers at the moment. If I do that then the GT boys will obviously have family rates if you ever visit.

Have a good weekend.

Way to go Centerpunch!

Way to go CP. Sometimes you just have to DO THE RIGHT THING! :thumbsup

Blackice,

Very happy for you. That will be one fine car.

It should be here today at about 4pm PST. Too bad the weather looks like it might rain today. I will post the unloading pictures when the truck comes.

It arrvied! Too bad it is raining here all day, so I parked the car in the garage and didn't get a chance to drive it yet.

Does anyone know what this piece of plastic is for that I found in the front storage compartment?

BTW, I got the part that replaces the subwoofer and it is molded plastic covered in leather. I guess that is why it list for $1600! They must have used some might fine leather! The fans for the Mac amp is noisy. I was wondering what that noise was when I was playing with the radio in the garage.

Congratulations on the car - very exciting!

I think that plastic is a front numberplate mount - not sure, but could be.

Thanks. I think you are right. It is for the front license plate. I don't know how it mounts to the car, but I don't plan on using it unless the police force me to.
