My beautiful GT is RIP

carfax does it so it should be legal:confused

todd, if you get a FGT or any car repaired and avoid police reports and insurance companies you can keep it off carfax. trust me, GT's are being repaired right now that will never show up on carfax.
great seeing you at the rally!
cheers,
bony

there is no reason in the world to keep it private. why?

of course, we already have GT registry on site and CobraJeff is the SAAC registrar for the FGT. I am sure he is already tracking this data as he becomes aware of it.

cars can be easily replaced
thx for posting, and good luck with the new ride(even though its another black one--lol)

I volunteer. pm me the numbers and we'll build a spreadsheet with as much info as possible. I can then send members/owners a link to the site to download it with a password.

Done

Steve

I'm with ya Steve- If DBK doesn't want it here I'll by a new domain with ya...

Hey Blue glad you made it through a nasty wreck ok. Good job finding another car so fast.

I have tried to purchase two wrecked GT from "insurance auctions" and I was told by both that the owner turned down the offer to buy the car back. I would ask Allstate about the car.

Wrecked GT's

The new edition of the Shelby American World Registry, that includes the new Ford GT's in it, will have footnotes on cars that have been wrecked or totaled. The Registry has carried this info on original Ford GT's and Shelby Cobras for years, and now the new GT's will be covered, too. GT Forum members looking at used GT's will be able to check a car's prior history via the SAAC Registry.

I already have a database, with over 2200 of the new GT's in it. We now have ALL of the VINs, and color and option content from Ford. The SAAC Registry will have all of this information published in it.

Some forum members have already passed info on to me regarding wrecked GT's - if you have any info on a GT that's been seriously damaged, please pass it along to me (with the model year and VIN number) so that we can keep a record of it. Nothing wrong with rebuilding a wreck properly, however, a prospective buyer should have the knowledge about a car's prior history, so he can make an informed decision.

cobrajeff

I do stealth missions only. Sunday morning before 7:30 am on Interstates. Don't like any other vehicles near my landjet. Glad you are OK and welcome back!

Jeff, I will whoop you silly of you list that #1153 had a scratched wheel in the registry :)
Just kidding, know you whoop me back :)

Thanks guys,

Nice to feel welcomed. We do have the BEST people on this forum and the best car on the market. The jerk that hit me kept on going.. Our cars are low to the ground so be extra careful around trucks pulling boats etc. My pain felt much better when I found the new ride all black with 110 miles on it for slightly over the sticker price. So if you want one they are out there. I attempted to call Allstate again. speaking with the "supervisor" and got the same secretive run around. I was told once they pay the car is theirs to do what they want.. WOW, never heard that before.. I can tell you that the motor and tranny were not touched. Everything else including the brake rotors in the front, I had an upgraded Brembo big brake kit up front, were smashed. So if someone comes across 2005 number 1923 they should know this. Glad to be back in the saddle. Could someone tell me how to become a lifetime member?
