Well, this seems to be the place where they are going so I will just continue.

I went yesterday and today. It's taking a while to sort through the stills. I will wrap them up tomorrow. But I did get two videos. Once again I'm without the proper equipment. On Thursday we went through the exhibits. Today I finished the middle core and went outside for the last 1-1/2 hours to wander around the entire outside Ford area. I caught a few videos on my cell phone because I forgot my GoPro or D300s (D700 for stills is still the best).

Ford had the Miller racing guys doing drifting in the parking lot... They had two cars with a passenger swap.

They were shutting down for the afternoon (the show closes at 16:00 on Friday) and then they brought out the big guns.... Hillbank Motors/Superformance closed the afternoon with two Cobras bringing Ford execs on their rides

Pretty cool! Thanks. Did you get a ride?

Imagine, back in the day, someone doing that somewhere in their 427/SC?

No I didn't. I went out about 1:00 and the line for the Mustangs was too long and they were giving rides to Ford execs in the Cobras. The show closes at 4:00PM Friday so I left about 2:45 to avoid the long lines to get on the train.

The Galpin Ford GTs. This one isn't so bad. Except for the wheels.

GTR1 - sorry, but it's simply awful.

Hillbank Cobras, Daytona Coupes and GT40s

Nice representation of the show. I thought the Toyota FT-1 concept was quite handsome, if not a bit over-styled. Hope they build it. I never would have guessed though that the most captivating car in my opinion was the GM bus. Did you happen to see the 4wd street rod with the backwards facing Boss 429 motor? A very impressive engineering feat (forgot to get some pictures of it).

I really like the Galpin widebody GT500's. Their modified GT's? Not one tiny bit.

I could not get resolution on the Scott Drake 67' GT500 sign when I enlarged it, what was the story on that one?

Which picture? The side view at the bottom by the front wheel says "HENDERSON, NV"

They have a huge warehouse. When I had by Barrett Jackson Shelby GT (I had two, that's where twobjshelbys comes from) on the car I drove the hood pin lanyards started rusting. The best guy SAI ever had, Bud, told me to run over to Scott Drake and ask for one guy by name and he would bring me a replacement set that wouldn't rust. Went over, asked for him, he brought them, and Bud's guys installed them.

Post #5, the barn find 67' GT500 has a sign sitting on the radiator, I assumed telling the story of the find.

The article above is a more detailed. Here's a higher res snip of the sign

Unmolested. Lol
A little molestation would have served that car well.

Well, it is molested too. Half the thermactor parts are gone for one.

Ironically, heaps like this sell for close to 6 figures and yet a pretty damn nice driver is about $150ish.

SAAC winning restorations cost $150K +

I think the Jeep owner was expressing his opinions on the mods.
