It was so neat to see Chassis P/1075 (#6) in the Vault at the Petersen.

Also very incredible was the see one of Dan Gurney's Alligator Motorcycles on display in the motorcycle collection. More than a few times when the Cars and Coffee was at the Crystal Cove Shopping Center in Newport Coast area, California, I would see Dan hanging out and talking cars and bikes with the small gathering, and he had ridden an Alligator to the show. That was before the show got big and crazy and moved out to the Ford PAG location for a long while.

The Rod Emory #46 restored Porsche original racecar was on display too. It's been great to hear about Rod and his father's history and how important it was for Rod to lovingly restore this piece of racing history.

And always an exhibit standout, of course, are these great american supercars.

He talked about how he would run around the shop as a small child, getting to know all the boxes and parts and taking in all the fun of an old shop.

Great pictures.

Fantastic photos as always Syco!

That he did..Gary has picture of Rod about age 7 sleeping inside the parts display cabinet. His training on body work and customization was done with his Grandpa Neil. Hammer and dolly, lead pots, English wheel, etc. And a work ethic for perfection. Proud to call Rod and his family friends.
