Some of these may overlap what others have posted, but so what. Has anyone had enough of this car yet? I didn't think so.

Sinovac, andymlow, Howard and I made our way to Dimmitt Automotive Group in Pinellas Park, FL after duPont Registry C&C, and before the Mustang 50th Anniversary celebration at Currie Ford in Tampa. It was a full day of automotive excess and nobody got busted.

I was told by two people that Dimmitt has the number 1 McLaren salesman in the world. We met him and I believe he would be number 1 at whatever he chose to sell.

Anyway, lots of pics here.

Hmm...how about some more CF? This is where Ferrari could lend a hand. After all, this is not a race car. And, it's not really a street car. What exactly is it?

Dainty gas pressure struts for the fuel filler. Another panel on the other side, I don't know what for. Yes, you will have to replace these just like we replace our clamshell struts.

Interesting fact learned today. Volcano Orange and Volcano Red are actually painted metallic silver (whatever McLaren calls it). The orange and red color is in the clear coat.

Also...$500K over MSRP.

Also...people spend tens of millions for a painting. What is this car's value as a work of art alone? Well...probably a lot if there weren't so many copies.

"Only" $500k over list. Sheesh...

Matthew Jones is the McLaren sales manager at Dimmitt and sold over 80 or so cars last year. He sold 8 P1s. He is unpretentious, very enthusiastic about McLaren and will talk for hours to anyone interested in the cars, including kids. Basically, he is the polar opposite of the shills you'll find in a Ferrari dealership. It's no mystery why he is Número Uno.

Plus, he sounds so smart with that British accent.

Wow, just beautiful!!

Nice shots. How is the engine bay accessed?

I just showed my wife the pictures of the P1.She said I could not get the car because the trunk was to small!
I will miss her!

I bought my car from him. Could not have had a better experience.

Matthew has been very generous with his time. He has helped me acquire a car even though it was not from him and even offered to go through the entire car with me when I receive it (which should be any day if jaxgt and I have done all the paperwork correctly). :)
