Well , my friends at Team Shelby invited me to their event Aug 17-19 It reduces my rally prep schedule by a week but I want to go.. Any experienced Monterey attendees have any accommodation recommendation for a guy coming late to the party !! :biggrin

I heard there were still rooms in Seaside... $300 for a $100 room ☹️ but better than nothing. It's fairly close to most of the action.

Maybe an AirB&b??? Just a thought. Good luck.

I lucked out several years ago by repeatedly calling various hotels asking if there had been any cancellations. It does happen. Heck, I wasn't even going for the Historics, but rather was filling a dream of riding from Manhattan Beach to Napa via Highway 1 on my motorcycle that very same weekend.
Persistence paid off for me. Best of luck to you.

I usually get my room 8-10 months in advance. The wait lists are long & the prices 4-6x higher for a room. Salinas is 30 mins away but may be filled up. Castroville is also 30 mins away & may be a better choice. Call me when you can Stormcat.

Desperate for a place to stay in Carmel, Pebble or Pacific Grove 8/17-8/20 or 8/21- does anyone have any suggestions or connections?
 
I would do what alexhay3 recommended. Call everyone & see what happens. If that doesn't work then head north starting with the towns of Marina up to Castroville. Or Salinas & up & down Hwy 101.
