Nice showing at the Quail.
I was in Carmel for the entire week,
but mostly out at the track. Will be bringing a GT next year with the intent on attending the Quail.
Agree, no doubt the FGT is the best supercar. Even one of the proprietors of one of the best places in town asked what I drive, Ferrari? Lambo?
I said Ford GT, he said those are the best, and he's Italian. 🙂

Pretty sweet! How do you show your car there? Is it invitational?

@Ed Sims Cool photos. What did you think about the Polestar seeing it in real ?
The styling is not for me but it was cool to see it in person.

Great pictures. Thanks for posting them.

Those are really nice pictures, Ed and Syco. There was a write-up in the WSJ this weekend talking about Quail and the Rimac Nevera. I really enjoyed driving behind Syco at Rally 13 (that 98 livery is amazing) and trying to keep up with Jaxgt and Ed.

Nice weekend brunch for my younger son and I with Ed, Heidi and their daughter. At Turn 12, a fun local hangout with a collection of vintage motorcycles
on Alvarado St. Even spotted a Macallan Ice Ball press in an old whiskey bar.

New cars just don’t strike me the same, I must be stuck in the 90/00’s with exception of the Nfgt, with my favorite being the miles/ruby! Way to represent! That gma Cossie v12 though, I’d take one of those anyday. Wish the Gma’s were competitive to other cars price wise. Tough ask for a small manufacturer but one could dream.

Do you know the name of, or where I might be able to purchase that print of the #6 car at the '69 Le Mans?
Thanks

Durward1,

I don't personally know. My friend has a Superformance version of that car, which is why I noticed the painting right away.

Here is the phone number and website for the Turn 12 Bar and Grill. You could contact them and see where they got it from.

I found this link
https://www.unionart.co.uk/nicholas-watts-blue-thunder-le-mans-1969
the painting is “Blue Thunder” by Nicholas Watts

Not to get too far off topic, I really like Nicholas Watts' art. He has ones of the 1966, 1967, and 2016 LeMans wins with GT40s and GTs. From what I remember Alex Reade Motorsports had the best prices. I've bought 3 or 4 prints from them.
