Assuming they build a MarkII how do you guys think it will affect the Mark I as far as collectibility and value???:confused

The car was supposed to be limited production.

Do you see this as a double cross in a way?

Hello Evan,
No, the GT will not be an investment car, they built 4038. It appears they will hold their value better than most cars with a large production run. If you bought a Ferrari you would expect every few years to see an upgraded model, would you not? Regarding Saleen and the GTX's, they are custom coach builders and the cars will be viewed as such.
Double Cross, heck no, why would you think that?
Cheers,
daniel

Sorry Dan, my bad. I thought this was a new model from Ford as Saleen did put the original Mark I's together for Ford. If this is just a Saleen update I'm not bothered by it.

Maybe I'm still confused. :willy

Chris Theodore mentioned at Rally I that our cars could possibly be upgraded to an Mk II.

I thought he said mark IV, not II. At about 400K plus.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't like the renderings. I prefer the stock body.

Agree

Maybe I did not hear right, but I thought the drawings were more speculation than reality, and maybe where the GT would have gone in the next :confusedversion (which is not happening)..

Jeez - I thought I thought. Belltone time????????????

Perhaps a pase car for Indy

Unfortunately, I don't think Ford will be doing a factory mark II in our life time. Unless its a hybrid or an E-85 car.

I just finished reading an article in one of the auto-mags about CAFE and hybrid/e85 standards ... interesting... very interesting.

Maybe we should talk Jamaal into building a e-85 mark II concept car. pitch it as "the pace car for the green economy". man ... I need to test drive a Tesla. If they built an e-85 Mark II Gt I'd buy one and laugh every time I passed a Prius screaming "she burns corn baby ... she burns corn"

Bony ... I think I need one of your manhattans... I've just realized I'm having rally withdrawls too!

I just returned from Indy and the guide told us the next indy 500 they are switching from methenol to ethanol to promote bio-fuels. I'd love to have a car I could share a drink with. Would it run better on good scotch or good vodka? man think of the sponsorships not only would we have bud and Busch and Canadian Club. :cheers:banana

Does anyone know if you can re-brew mash or hops after the first run? Wouldn't it be cool if you could ... make the first run for you and the second for the car. Talk about recycling! :banana

Probably not ... but it was a thought. maybe we need a car that runs off brew by product. :biggrin
