Looking for a low mileage GT

StormCat always purported that fresh dog poop piles around the car kept all the mice away. I never tried it.

For our snowmobiles we would take used sliced meat plastic containers, drill holes in the top, and fill with mothballs.
2-3 per sled. No mice problems.. Never tried with a GT, but a couple put around each wheel might help with mice, and definitely the moth's :)

😂😂😂

This is why I love Ford GT. Makes other brands coupe look like a minivan!

Reviving this thread

What optima battery should I get?
Seems like there are different types?

Also, once I remove the battery attachments, how do i lift the battery up? Is there something that holds onto the battery?

What precautions should I take?

And i heard someone say i need to apply Anti Oxy compound. Is that applied to the black terminal?

Good questions, I used double layered moving blanket on fender. Do not use fender as leverage point to lift battery. Used battery post lifting strap.

Thank you! Is there a piece holding battery to the car? I read the pdf file but i didnt explain in detail.

I need to work out before lifting battery out 😂😂😂

I put my knee up against the front tire for bracing so I don’t accidentally dent the fender.

I too do not remove the top strap.

oh, get the size 25 optima (or odyssey).

What do you mean by top strap? Its still intact. Just pull it up right?

Is there some sort of battery holder in the case by any chance? That prevents battery from moving?

Like one on the photo?

Is this the hold down screw I should remove prior to getting the battery out? Apologies for asking too many questions 🥺

You should be looking at a battery thread and not a "I want to buy" thread. Search can be your friend.

Its the other end of the negative terminal (black). Where it is bolted to the frame. You remove the bolt, and use scotchbrite or sand paper to clean the contact point of both the cable and the frame. Then add some dielectric grease, and reinstall the bolt.

As Frank states, there a LOT of battery threads here, with pictures.

Thank you! I have been reading those. Would it be alright to reply to those threads and revive those old threads?

Connect your ford trickle charger (the inside one) before disconnecting the cables. Wrap the positive cable to prevent shorting to ground. This will preserve the emissions readiness tests so you don't have to run the drive cycle

That's better than hijacking an unrelated topic. Chances are you will find your questions have been asked and answered already.

And it is optima group 25. Available at your local autozone or O'Reillys for tons less than ford's

Just make sure you save the GT sticker off the current battery and transfer it to the new battery.
