Locked out!!!!!!

I look after a car collection that boasts a 2006 GT with under 100 miles on the clock. It is currently sitting in our warehouse. The battery is out of the car. The hood is closed. The doors are locked. The keys are inside on the passenger seat, along with the fob. The second set of keys is nowhere to be found.

Any advice on how to get into this car? I'm loathe to call AAA and let them have at it, but it's been a couple of months we've been looking for the extra keys to no avail. Should I take the VIN# to a Ford dealer and order a new key? It's not something that has to happen today, but obviously I need some resolution that doesn't involve damage to the car.

Best regards and thanks in advance for any advice.

Go to ford and have them cut you a wallet key. That will open the door.

I had the same problem 2 months ago. Take the VIN # and and insurance card and they will cut you a wallet key. Thats the only way.

Guys,

Thanks so much for the quick responses. Believe it or not, after looking in every house, every key locker, every frickin' where... I call the owner's assistant and tell her to round up the title for the car as he is going to have to go to a Ford dealer, prove ownership, provide the vin#, and get a key made. She digs around her desk for the title, and finds not one, but two spare sets of Ford GT keys.:rolleyes:bang:party

So, car is open, new battery is in, started right up, warmed it for a bit and drove it a little. What a great car these things are. What awful rear visibility:eek That's about the only downside though, aside from actually installing the battery...

What the heck is up with that? I have never had such trouble installing a factory correct battery in a car in my life. At least it's done. All the way up to 107 miles on that car now. Wearing right out I tell ya!!

Thanks again everyone.

Please don't do that, I've seen expensive cars go diving before, they're never the same afterwards!!!!

I HOPE so!

Tomcat,

Great picture. Great cars.

Good incentive for me to get my '72 back into top shape. GT is fine. I need to do a similar photo some day.
