Wow, compression ratio on LaFerrari- 13.5:1. I'm guessing pump premium won't cut it for that? Not that I will have to worry about it. If I could choose one, it would have to be LaFerrari. I can't wait for the first head-to-head comparo.

These really are the good old days....

It has to run on pump gas. Mazda SkyActiv engines are 14:1 overseas, but 13:1 in the US to run on 87 octane.

I think the F vs M vs P will be ranked in that order regardless of objective numbers. LaFerrari wins on emotional response and boner inducing sound track. Making full use of the electric motors scores big bonus points for Ferrari.

Personally, I find this view of La Ferrari very UNattractive.

Yikes- looks like a bug-eyed transformer from that angle! But then, there is a view of the GT that I am not fond of- standing over the front of the car looking down, the front end looks like a big spoon or something.

Boy, 13:1 and 87 octance? I guess I need to stop thinking of my musclecar engines, where 9.5:1 or 10:1 is about the safe limit for pump gas, depending on the tuning, timing, etc. Gotta love technology.

Having seen a P1 and 918 in the flesh, these are good times for the 0.1%
Have to say I am a P1 guy (in my dreams)

Anyone notice the human floating at about 10 o'clock?

918 was definitely a little underwhelming in a static setting. I still think it's actually the one with the least disagreeable design elements. It's just not extraordinarily striking sitting still. However, the rear view with the exhaust lit up will do.

Pretty reminiscent of the CGT to me. I woukd most happily take one.

No, not until you mentioned it.
