Just completed my harness install...pics


Harness install

I have harnesses on order from Livermore with the Brey-Krause hardware. Can anyone tell me for sure if I need to remove the seats to install and if so do I really need to follow the procedure for pulling the airbag fuse and the negative battery terminal before I remove the seats? I find it hard to believe that the install can be done in one hour if all this has to be done as well. Maybe I'm just a slow mechaninc?

I’m thinking of doing something similar to mine, but I would like to keep the original belts so I can use them for day to day driving. I realize the original post is quite old, but I was hoping lthlvpr could post pictures of how he mounted his lap harnesses. A picture or two with the seat out would be even more helpful. Are the instructions available to look at before purchasing the belts? That would help me decide if I really want to do this.

B-K harness mounts for GT

The Brey-Krause mounts are for a Porsche but bolt right up to the FGT seatbelt bolts. Seat removal is not necessary. Simply unscrew the OEM seatbelt bolts, replace the bolts with both the OEM seatbelt & B-K mounts on together & you're ready to go. Just snap on the race harness when you want it. It took me 15 minutes to install the 4 B-K mounts (2 per seat). There are lots of photos from various Forum members on the install. I guess you could use longer bolts also but I just used the OEM bolts. The B-K mounts are very cool & match the interior perfect (brushed aluminum). I enlarged the harness snap in hole larger so I could more easily snap both the lap & 5-6(crotch) belt clips in.
