I needed to change a side piece of my transmission tunnel on my 2006 Ford GT because of a broken map pocket. When I removed the old part I found the letters CK and 8/9/06 under it. Could it be the initials of someone working on the car?

perhaps its when the part was "checked"

Production or install date, I believe. Lots of these Easter Eggs all over these cars. I've found one under the clamshell and one under the center console when I was installing the short shifter. Markings of a hand-built car. Neat stuff.

Sure wish we could get orur hands on the "Build Books" that a few have!!

Those would make nice consolation prizes for current owners who don't get a golden ticket. I believe that they all exist based on discussions here, but I don't recall if they are in Ford's possession.

Question? I have Dual chalk numbers on the inside of my opened engine cover. Numbers are 357 twice. Anyone have an idea of what these are? Thanks
