Installed my new GTG exhaust with my new lift

So this is how I spent my holiday vacation. Had a Direct Lift Pro Park 8 Standard set up and put it to use installing a GTG exhaust.

The lift is a tight fit, as the rear tires hang slightly over the runway edges. The GT will most likely be parked underneath with the runways stored in the highest position to simplify ingress and egress.

I probably should not admit how much time it took me to get the exhaust installed, but I must say that I really did enjoy working on the car.

Wow, I call that a tight fit!

It doesn't matter how long it takes, the important thing is that you did it right! :thumbsup

I hope there is a door behind that lift... Well done...

Congrats on the DIY install, those pipes look great:thumbsup

Great job!! It's not about the time it took, but the satisfaction you gain!!!!!!!

The black rims look great on the car.

Good job. I'm not a master mechanic by any stretch, but I really enjoy working on my cars. After a couple months you will wonder how you ever got by without a lift.

As far as lifts and width go, I bought my lift from Heartland lifts out of Missouri. They manufacture all the lifts themself, bring it to you no matter where you are and put it together. Here is the great part, because they manufacture it to order they can adjust the width of the tracks to prevent the tight fit issue. They put the tracks 3inches wider than their normal spacing for me and it really is great putting the gt on it. Btw, get a mirror on the wall or have someone help you pulling it in and out or you could be like me and give Rich Brooks a xmas present with some new business. Anyway, I have done a lot of work on researching lifts and the guys at Heartland really offer a get product that you can customize. BTW, no real different cost then a backyard buddy etc..

Question on the lift: How close can you install it next to the wall? My single door (8 foot) literally opens to the interior edge of my garage. If the lift ramps were even 4-6" off the wall it would be impossible to drive the car in.

Anyone else have this issue? Whats the solution? That is other than build a new garage :ack

good job! you just need to drive it more often :)

Thank. They really sound good too.

Still not sure about them. Need to get it lowered. I figured I would put them on when I was trying out the jack tray that came with the lift.

Oil change is next. May try to install the lowering kit as well.

Even with the posts against the wall, there is a considerable amount of space between the wall and ramps.

Every chance I get.
