...but I'm not going to. I'm pretty sure this is a rare bird indeed. I forgot I had this. It's from 2004 from an NAIAS event. They had this series of postcards of concepts and new vehicles. As you can see, the GT graces the cover and the start button the inside cover. Of course, the GT is the first postcard featured. That's not what makes this ebay-able though...I'll get to that in a sec.

Now as you can see there's one particular car that never made it to production on this card, and a certain someone had signed it for me.

Hmmm. :banana

First $35,000 takes it. :willy

No deal. I just bought a pre-production GT gas cap for only $3,500!!!!!!

I'll take it. Let me find my Monopoly game.:biggrin

No one comes close to having the squigliest signature that Richard Petty has.

What I do find interesting is that even on the pictures, the car is referred to as the "Ford GT", not just "GT". So since the name is not with the others (it doesn't say Ford Cobra), that kind of makes it a Ford Ford GT :wink

I have the same exact thing from the detroit auto show a couple years back. but mine isn't signed. :frown

I've got the same exact thing -- including the signature. I was at that event, too. At least I think I still have it. I remember Carroll signing it for me -- now I'll have to go dig it up.

OH MY GOD....! Is that your hand in this shot??! :lol

GT Postcards

Dave-
I have the same thing but unsigned by Carrol. I have been collecting any and all Ford (as well as other magazine) information on the car since about 2003. Kept me psyched as I talked to dealers offering to pay them MSRP for an ordering slot for their allocation. They usually laughed and ended the conversation with "good luck you'll never get one". I of course had the last laugh as I look into the garage and see my two-option chariot awaiting a button push.

I have the official 2005 Media Kit (with DVD) which has a number of press releases and memorabilia about how the concept started as well.

posters

Does anyone have the poster that was given away at the 100 year anniversary Celebration? I think it was given out right after they introduced the Red White and Black GT on stage.
