How Does The Texas Mile Work?

Can someone please help me understand how the Texas Mile works?

Do you get to run more than once a day?

If so how many times a day can you run?

Are there any decent hotels/ restaurants in the area?

How do they decide what order cars run in?

If you run 140mph twice to their approval do you automatically get a B liscence?

Is there any questions outside of vehicle requirements that I should be asking that I am not?

Thanks in advance for any and all help. I'm new if you can't tell!

Yes, you can run more than once a day. Depends on how many people are there. Fewer people, more runs, no certain number per day. No motels close by. A motor home is best. Beeville is the closest place if I remember correctly. You make runs when you are ready. Car must be tech inspected before any runs are made, including your clothing, helmet, etc. They don't give out "licenses" that I remember per se. Mullet is the expert here. Contact him.

Dr Frank - not to hijack the thread, but you are at 6,666 posts. Something both grand & evil at the same time!

late Friday and Sunday you will get just about as many runs as you want. Run once or twice at a certain speed then they upgrade you to the next level, repeat. You can run as many times as you get in line. Expect 4-5 runs at the most on the busy day Saturday. First come first served on doing runs, just get in line.

The new location has hotels within 10 minutes of the track.

Go to their site and read everything.
