One of the guys at the office just said this crash is worse than a divorce – “I just lost half my net worth and a still have a wife”

Ha cha cha......:lol

Marriage/Divorce= "Find a woman you dont like, and give her a house"

What does marriage and a tornado have in common?
At the beginning there's a lot blowing and sucking going on and when they're over your house is missing.:bored

The secret of a happy marriage remains a secret.

This could be a good thread

I have been married 30 years. I am doing a life sentence.

It goes along with agreeing on that 'til death do you part' line. I had no idea at the time I was setting a personal goal.

Stuff like this always makes me laugh. :thumbsup

I am going to give a semi-serious post that is not intended to offend anyone. Just my personal experience. I was a confirmed bachelor (and I loved it :wink) that never thought marriage was a possibility until I met and married my wife almost ten years ago. We work together, spend 99% of our time together, love travel and she talked me into buying our GT. Now here's the kicker....no kids.

Neither one of us has or wants kids and our focus stays on each other. I used to own a restaurant back in the day, and the common complaint of regulars at the bar, and of my married friends was that that kids changed everything. Disclaimer, I like kids, am good with kids, enjoy kids, work with kids, but I do not want any of my own. I also understand why people have kids. But if you want the secret to a happy marriage is simple.....no kids. That is why divorced men do not usually have more kids in their next relationship. I have seen one common things in my married friends. Ones with no kids....happy....ones with kids not as much.

I am writing this post at a beachfront hotel after a very interesting evening and morning and we are heading out to walk our dog on the beach. Ahhhhh....the market sucks.....my portfolio sucks.....so time to run to the beach spur of the moment and remember what's important. Life is freakin awesome!!!:cheers :banana:party:club (If you think I added in too many smiles, you need to get to the beach and relax more :wink)

Well then, I must be the oddball in THAT dept (as well as here on The 'Forum)! :rofl

While it's true one's kids can at times be frustrating to deal with, overall they're a real blessing - and GRANDKIDS are a total kick in the pants! Just take my word on both, 'rex! :wink :cheers

There are exceptions to every rule EP. :biggrin Glad to hear that you are one of them. :cheers ......and I will take your word on both. :wink

Belive EP.

I had 3 kids in 3 years. My mentality was like yours at first. I evolved. My crappy days get nullified when I get home. My two girls shower me with kisses, my boy practices some sort of submission hold he learned from friends or tv. My wife makes a beautiful dinner and we share stories about our day. I couldn't imagine it any other way. Should you decide to have kids, they will enhance your life...

I'm with skyrex on this - most studies show marital satisfaction goes way down after children are born.

I don't think he is saying that people aren't happy with kids, just the toll it takes on the marriage itself is quantifiable.

:thumbsup My wife raised two great kids because I worked (Stupid me - insert favorite expletive). It only get's better with time. Just wait till they get older. My son and I are great friends and every other weekend we spend time together rebuilding a 69 Mach1. A few beers also are drank:cheers

Went to the KEY TO THE HILLS ROD RUN which took place in our little town this weekend.

Over 500 cars, all pre 1949, and is considered one of the premier street rod events in the nation.

Saw an appropriate sign on one of the cars which said:

"I DON'T CARE HOW BAD THE MARKET IS - IT'S STILL NOT FOR SALE".

Hey Spirit,

Maybe I missed the update on another thread, but was your GT able to be fixed from that terrible pre-rally accident? Hoping that your GT will be as healthy again as you and your son fortunately were. :cheers

Sky,

Nope, still in its stall resting. :frown

Am still waiting for insurance company to advise as to what they are going to do. At this rate the warranty will expire before they decide. Got to love bureaucracy.:bs

No matter what they do, the Spirit GT will return to the highways and bye-ways of America.:thumbsup

Rally IV in Texas?:banana

Thanks for asking.
