I read this off the IMSA FB account about an hour ago. Interested in DBK;s take on this. Are those in Ford interested enough to continue with prototyype racing as it relates to the GT?

I doubt ford will be too interested in. 1. A pure race effort. And 2. especially another bop controlled field.

I need some SERIOUS convincing that this actually happens....

I do however hope it does, it is VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY long overdue. A big issue that road racing must over come is spectator confusion (Who? What series? Oh, that one or the other one? Or?). Once that is sorted, a manufacturer can have one set of (moving) rules, that they can participate with on a global scale. Should be a good thing for the sport... if it happens...

Agreed. Integrating the two major racing series is a start. On a smaller level, it’s like when I was racing Spec Miata in NASA and SCCA at the same time. Different tire spec for each series. One ran restrictor plates, the other had fuel flow regulators. Got confusing and just increased costs.
