Okay, I have had some correspondence with TallCarGuy about the possibility of another GT school happening in the near future for the selfish reason that I really want to do this :biggrin. He is very interested in doing this again and I offered to throw this thread up to get the ball rolling and see if there is enough of us interested to make it happen. If you are a newer member and or are not sure what the GT school is click on this link:

This is ENZO BTR’s article on his great experience at the GT school that will tell you all you need to know about the experience. Here are the nuts and bolts facts.
There needs to be a minimum of six students and there can be a max of eight. That gives everybody tons of track time and with an Instructor to Student ratio of one for every two, you also get a lot of training in a short time. All this comes at a price. The School fee is $2,000.00 per student. The day starts at Willow Springs on the BIG track at 8:00 AM and we are all done by 5:00 PM, and it is a really full day of training.
The chief instructor is Neil Hannemann, the chief engineer of the Ford GT program, and a 4 time World Challenge Champion. Everybody spends some quality time with Neil.
They also offer, for students only, a wheel and tire deal of four Factory Ford Six Spoke BBS cast wheels with factory size Hoosier RS6 tires mounted and balanced for $3,500.00 a set.
With the end of the year and the holidays coming up I figured February would be a good time to shoot for this to happen. That gives all of us plenty of lead time to make plans accordingly. TallCarGuy is going to check on available dates for that month. I saw what happened when Stunts tried to organize a track day and it seems difficult to get everyone moving in the same direction. Once we get enough interested people to book the event and a suitable date a $500 deposit would be required to hold your spot. This would only be refunded if the school were to be canceled. If you change your mind after making the deposit or your schedule changes you would lose your deposit unless you can find someone to take your slot. This seems fair to me. If you are interested, be sure before you make the deposit. TallCarGuy would need six deposits in hand before booking the date/event. I am not sure how the wheel purchase would work, but for those interested in that I would get additional information on how they would want to handle payment for that. This will most likely be a weekday event because that is when it is easiest to book the Big Track.
I am very interested in doing this and I hope some of the rest of you are as well. If you have any questions I have not addressed in this post just throw them up on the thread or send me a PM. This thread will be the unofficial clearinghouse for questions and interest in this event to see if it gets past the talking stage. I am glad the GT school is being considered again and would love to see it happen. To me his sounds like a great way to start 2009. :thumbsup
