I have to say, it was pretty awesome to be able to drive behind the car on the circuit and look up to see the wing deploy.

We're getting close to full details. The front splitter slats being active is a good hint that there's more aero going on than you can see... :biggrin

I have been gone 19 years now and was surprised that Ford is still doing some testing in a fixed surface tunnel. Perhaps it doesn't matter but I thought they would be using rolling road for everything now. Apparently they have it figured out though, judging by results.

I'd be surprised if the new GT wasn't initially done entirely in CFD and the 'wind tunnel' that we are seeing, is just a secondary confirmation or validation of some of the upper surface areas. Ask the Team when you see 'em. ;-))

Wind Tunnels (scale models, rolling roads, static full scale) and CFD have different strengths/weaknesses, and are used to cross-reference and validate each other. You can't rely 100% on one.
