I'd love to hear opinions about the interior space in the Ford GT for a guy that's 6' 4" tall. My Z is absolutely comfortable. Viper is very constricting, and the P-car works just barely! Has anyone lowered the seat in the FGT? Anyone in Columbus GA or Montgomery AL have a FGT I could sit in? Please let me know and I'll respond privately with e-mail address or whatever works. Thanks, bma2

lots of discussion on this topic, do a search, options are to remove foam in seats and replace with memory foam which adds an 1", add a gurney bubble etc. You should fit ok, depends if your long or short legged. What is your inseam lenght of your trowsers?

I am sure you will not fit with a helmet on, but depending on your driving position and torso vs. legs proportions, you may have a small change without a helmet. Some have lowered the seat by removing some padding to gain an additional inch or two.

At 6'4 you should be fine. I got guys that are 6'5 and taller driving them in comfort. Now, if you are gonna be tracking it and wearing a helmet, that may be a different story, but as far as everyday driving you should be great! MUCH more room than a viper....

I'm 6'5" and fit fine in the GT without a helmet and just barely in my Z06 with a helmet, but there is somewhat less headroom in the GT without the "Bubble" or modifying the seat cushion. You can fudge a little by sliding your seat forward and reclining the backrest (depending on how long your legs are) but you'll still be a bit cramped with a helmet.

I had my seat lowered and love it. Unfortunately the group that did it went out of buisiness.

any competent shop can add the memory foam which is a trademarked product...
for a lot less money that the folks that went out of biz charged :-)
expect to pay $200-$300 max.

thanks for the help... my inseam is 33''. I'm about avg build (whatever the hell that is)... still playing basketball to keep my svelte 218lbs. If anyone knows an owner in Columbus GA or Montgomery AL they'd be willing to check with for me, let me know. thanks, bma2
