You are not the first.

Anyone that was or is not satisfied with the decal, we will gladly refund your $29. As was mentioned before, it is a decal, not an actual piece of metal/brushed aluminum. Metal would obviously look better, but there are safety concerns.

why would it be different than the stock one?

if the stock button flips out of the way why wouldn't the stickers stick to the button and flip out of the way also?

Ford engineered a safe way for that disc to adhere to shell-housing; I am sure its been heat, pressure, velocity tested.

Look for crashed GTs on wrecked exotics with airbag housing off, the disc is still on.

An airbag inflates in miliseconds and anything not anchored will continue to launch.

I doubt the surface remains flat in inflation, and any adhesive surface will deform and release anything on it.

Some guy on ebay who says "install at your own risk", is not an R&D Dept....nor a deep pocket to repair your head.

And I doubt that statement on his ebay ad would absolve him of legal responsibility in a worst case scenario.

This is a new GT owner near me that I have not met yet. He contacted me while we were driving to the Rally. I have not seen one of these yet, but he claims they look perfect. Give me some time to check it out.

Got mine yesterday. It is extremely well made and comes with instructions for adherence. It does NOT appear (I haven't had an OEM in my hands) to be any heavier or thicker (it is very thin) than OEM.

Thankfully I do NOT need one at this time. Therefore this will go into the 'GT Archives' along with replacement rubber floormats, chrome sill guards, plastic front wheel well liners, etc...... (thanks to SteveA for the idea!)

....it does NOT come with instructions for taking the old one out though. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.:confused

King, I don't think the old one comes out, this is just a layover. Next time you're in town, we can go visit this guy. He's about 30 miles away.
