Gentlemen,

With very little fishing pressure you don't have to compete with a lot of other boats around Cape Horn. So don those flip-flops, board shorts, t-shirt and a straw hat and join us for some ocean going fun on an older but very sturdy boat. Here is a short video of last years event.

As luck would have it we have plenty of space available because all of last years participants seem to have a scheduling conflict and cant make it this year. Sign up early as the prime spaces on the bow will go quickly.

LOL Good one Chip. Actually that light house is the famous Kereon, Brittany France.

holy mother of god :eek that is just epic!!! i am gonna need a bigger boat :willy

Even on a Nimitz class carrier I wouldn't want to be there.

I was fortunate to get a VIP "ride" on the George H W Bush aircraft carrier. Not sure how it would do here - but my guess it would not get quite so thrown around.....

With 3" of freeboard, I dont see a problem - :eek:eek

Ok. That video is awesome. Makes some of the events from Deadliest Catch look like amateur video. But I'll put up the Grand Canyon Lava Falls experience to it. 18 seconds of horror :) Oh and I do it in a 18' rubber raft.

Yikes. I'll stay in the shallow end of the pool.

Luckiy thing all the guys on that boat were wearing wrist bands to keep from getting sea sick.

The seas in the footage of the naval vessel strongly reminded me of a couple days we spent in the South China Sea a few decades ago (insert puke icon here). :willy

I believe that video depicts a sea-state 5 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_state

I'll bet the -behind the ear patch- won't work there. I usually get invited on off shore fishing trips as a "Chummer", (feed the fish) and am usually the color GREEN. Thanks but I'll stay on the dock. I have prayed for hellcopters numerous times.

:eek

Have been through that once on a BGB(big gray boat). Sea state was that or more.. Some damage to the ship. Quite a ride.. Dont need to do that
again.. Was my last at- sea period...LOL
