The Smart doesn't even get great gas mileage. I could possibly see the point if it got 50+ mpg. I drove one for about 10 miles. It took every ounce of my strength not to purposely crash it into a wall.
The Smart makes sense in some places. If you live in the Richmond district of SF there are always tiny spaces to park on the street that 99.9% of the cars can't fit in. You would be smart to get a Smart, then you would always have a parking spot!

This is how I would use a SMART car. My Dually is a nightmare to find a parking spot for - so I'd have the SMART car in the bed that I could roll off - park the Dually where I can find a spot - usually far away from where I need to be, then drive the SMART there and park it! Other than that, I see no use for a so-called SMART car, which ain't so smart at all.
Now this one may be a fake, but it's what I think about those so-called SMART cars
