for those who have clear bras on their cars......

Clear Bra Question.

Gentlemen,

I few areas on my car (the nose) have clear bra. When I wax my car, do I wax the clear bra too or do I keep wax away from it??

Thoroughly clean the bra with a product called plexus and then wax it but stay away from carnuba on 3M - it really yellows quick. Also keep the wax away from the edges.

As a precaution, you can put a strip of the ever popular blue painter's tape on the edges.

Now why didn't I think of that Randy? Gr8 idea..

I did the side scoops, basically where the FGT stripes are on the door, also a good one, the door sills. I have seen the roof done, I did not.

I did the same on two of the cars, just the nose, rear wheel splash and rockers on the others. I suggest covering the striped portion and behind the intakes.

Another great wax for the film is available at RV stores and sometimes at Walmart called Protect-All it is white, liquid, no abrasives, and has great UV protection. The film loves it and sucks it up. Don't use anything with abrasives or carnuba.

Shadowman recommended Zaino Ultraclean, that I use on my clear bra. From Zainostore.com.

my clear bra guy said not to use wax with color. use a clear or white wax only. apparently, the clear bra will absorb some of the color in some waxes.
