If you have big feet, remove the rubber mats. The rubber mats are thicker at the front, under the pedals, which reduces foot room. So I run with just the carpets.

I too removed the rubber mats for similar reasons, (not big feet, but little room at the pedals).
I then went a step further and secured the carpeted mats to the floor with double edged tape, as they tended to move around under spirited driving events, especially on the track.

I have a set of barely used exotic floor mats if someone is interested.

No Damage, I just prefer the rubber mats.

Edit; I pulled them out the box, my right heel made an approximately 1-1/2-2" low spot at the bottom of the fuel pedal, where my foot rests. Only drove with them for 2 drives, so I assume they all get that with use.
