By going to Ford Dealer locator on line as a Ford Dealer ,there are 115 2006 NEW Ford GT's in dealer inventory. Wheather they are for sale or not I can not determine. Again these are 2006 MODELS ONLY as 2005 have been removed from locator records. Those dealerships represent every region in the US and including Hawaii which is in the California region. These dealerships are tracked from closest to my Dealership 18 miles to farthest from my dealership 3918 miles in Hawaii. These numbers are as of 3:45 pm Texas time 3-1-07. When these GT's are reported sold by dealers on internet to Ford Motor Co. daily they are taken off Fords Locator List. Thats the best I can Do!:banana :banana TGH PS. Southwest Region (Texas & Oklahoma) total 2006 GT's = 10 Get yours today there going FAST!:thumbsup

That one you mentioned in Hawaii we've discussed here on the Forum. They have some HUGE price on it ...so, it'll pbly never be sold (to any sane person anyway).

So, it's pbly fully intended to be a "dealer keeper car". (And I'd bet a number of the others are as well.)

Just recently back from Maui, Valley Isle Motors is becoming 'alarmed' that they haven't been able to move that unit at $419K. Two weeks ago, they slashed the price to $269K in a desperate move to clear out the product! :lol

If you've been there, you can appreciate that you might not want to pay that kind of $$ for a car that is sitting outside in the elements. Although a beautiful/warm place, it can be hard on a dark blue finish (sand, wind, salt).

How many 2005 Ford GT's are left?

Only Ford Motor Co. knows how many 2005 GT's are in dealer inventory for sale. Dave do you have a contact with FORD to find out these numbers of these vehicles? I'm sure there are some dealers holding out on 2005's. TGH P.S. Those puppies get expensive on a floor plan at 1% over prime per month. Most dealers get tired of looking at them real quick. It can get to be a cash flow drain (loud sucking noise) QUICKLY:wink

I guess all the GTs are "sold".

Ford has reported for 2007 CYTD, 231 GTs sold at end of Feb, and 0 (zero) cars sold in March, April, May.

Guess they are:

-all gone
-all titled dealer toys (hence sold/not NEW) still on Autotrader/web as "NEW"
-No longer disclosing #s, since its not a current model.
-stale in dealer Oasis inventory tracking system

My math as of Feb 07:
----------------------
#s
------------
144 '04 Sales
1302 '05 Sales
1919 '06 Sales
231 '07 sales
378 International Export
36 Autotrader (New '05-'06, <25 mi.)
28 Unknown sold / titled dealer toys
------- =
4038
-------(-)
4038 Total Production
------- =
0 Unadvertised/unsold/un-listed dealer inventory

14 GT's at one Ford Dealership

In town on some other business, Santa Margarita Ford dealer Jim Graham spent last night at my home and he told me that one of the other Ford Dealers in his 20 Group, the most profitable one according to Jim, had gathered 14 Ford GT's and stores them all inside. He keeps 1 or 2 on the showroom at $250,000 and has no interest in selling any of them at this time. He pays cash for all his new and used inventory and has no flooring expense (save for opportunity costs of 2+ mil. tied up). "If they appreciate, that's great. Worst case, I don't see them depreciating, and I like having them around. I rotate the cars in the showroom from time to time." If you have far more money than you know what to do with, why not. I must say, I wish I had 14 GT's too! :cheers :cheers :cheers

Sorry but the math is wrong... export, autotrader, ebay, etc sales are counted in reported dealer sales. Thus if a dealer sells a car through autotrader you are double counting it - same with exports...

As of December 1st 2006 there were 178 unsold 2005s, as of September 1, 2006 there were 675 unsold 2006s for a total of 853 unsold GTs.

Your sales figures indicate that there are now 442 new unsold GTs at the end of Feb. That does NOT mean that many are for sale, as many dealership owners put the cars in their collections, and tell inquiring people that the car is sold or "not available"

I just heard from a good source there are ~50 NEW GTs in FORD dealer inventory.

With about 5 on Ebay (<25mi) and 20 (<15mi) on autotrader, I would say its getting might close to the end!

Just for the record I bought my new 2005 3/29/07. Looks like Oasis is outdated or may for some, reason not record properly for out of state transactions?. Humm

Ford GT's 2006 Only

Yesterday I checked dealer locate and found only 55 2006 Ford GT's in dealer inventory. Again this is only 2006's. There is no way to check 2005's as Ford has talen them off dealer locate. Of these 55 there is no way to tell if they are for sale, in dealer collections, or actually for sale by dealer. Tomy Hamon Dealer P.S. Not many left. They get expensive on dealers flool plan.

Someone that has a car, but still on MSO would be included in the 36, correct?

I would bet that yellow is rarer than heritage!
