It's a damn shame that so many cars were initially sold to speculators who really have no passion for the car. Once they're all sold to car guys, the supply will evaporate.

DBK said:Definitely. All the cars legitimately for sale should be gone by the end of January. I'm sure there will still be a few $250k dealer demos out there, but the supply is gettin thin!

didn't you already get a second (heritage?) GT....
TEXAS GT said:I'm very happy and proud to announce that I am doing my part to keep the values up and supply thin! I just bought another one! :biggrin Yellow with all options except calipers ( I specifically looked for one with the standard black brakes).
As the supply dried up I started thinking about what I would do if something happened to the one I have and there weren't any new ones to replace it. It got to where that's all I could think about. After picking my color (thanks Lamboman) I found out there were only 7 new left nationwide. Some were being driven by dealers or they wanted $200K but there were 2 offered to me at a realistic price under MSRP. One had gray brakes so I picked the one with black calipers. Should be here in less than 2 weeks.
Am I crazy? Do I need a shrink? After reading Centerpunch's story of obsession I stepped back and asked myself if I was going too far. Two of the same car just different colors? I thought for days about what else the same amount of money could buy me. I thought about every performance car out there, vacation homes, time shares, you name it. But nothing compared to the excitement and pride this car provides. I didn't want anything else so I bought the god damn thing! If you think about it, I would only lose a small percentage of the total investment anyway if I had to sell it in the future.
I'm almost as excited as when I bought the first one. God Bless America! :biggrin
P.S. One of these bad boys is gonna get a Whipple. :banana :banana
P.S.S. Did I mention I married the best woman in the world? :thumbsup
See you in Indy!

Yeah you are absolutely certifiably crazy. :willy Welcome to the club. Two of the SAME color? I LOVE IT! There are quite a few guys that have multiple GTs but you are the only one I have heard of with two identical ones.
Hell, it sure doesn't take owing more than one to be crazy and obsessed with this car. The GT just brings out ownership passion from true car guys more than any other car I am familiar with. Maybe it is some potion that Ford treated the leather with at the factory??? :lol
TEXAS GT said:Whoa!! I'm not that crazy! My first one is Red with White stripes. Had to get a different color to keep the cops guessing. :biggrin

<<Sales are highest all year, and 2x, 2yr. monthly avg.
Oct. New GT's: ~643
(-) Nov. Sold: (261)
New GTs available: ~382>>
Wait, I'm confused now....on the prior page of this thread we decided that there were 643 left in Spetember, minus 102 sold in October, which made 541. Another 261 sold in November, which leaves 280, not 382....correct?
280 left, 150 in dealer's permanent collections, 40 a week being sold=====> none left by Christmas!
Ever since that dinner at Bart's place during SEMA staring at his freshly waxed beautiful Midnight Blue GT I can't stop wondering what it might look like next to the white one and the Heritage.
BTW- The F-car just doesn't get driven that much. Last time was to/from the dealer for the annual fluid change. With a choice I almost always pick the GT. The F430 was my first Ferrari and likely my last unless like Stefan I get a purpose track version.
And PS, there are very, very few Midnight Blue cars left at all.
