It's a damn shame that so many cars were initially sold to speculators who really have no passion for the car. Once they're all sold to car guys, the supply will evaporate.

This whole thread makes me want to buy another one before it is too late. Time to dump the F430 to make room in the garage. :wink
Chris,

didn't you already get a second (heritage?) GT. PS: I already have dumped the F430. I like the 360 Challenge better, and it is rarer with only 378 ever built.. Thinking of ordering the new 430 'lite' though; there is no information yet, but they state now taking orders. I would like to see few draft first, but I hear it's impossible. They might sell all contracts 'blind'. crazy.. I am also thinking of having me a special 'one off'Streetlegal;Race Galliardo built, with sequential shifter 2 wheel drive, and lite, lite, lite.. & fast. Btw, next year there will be Lambo Cup for the first time ever.. Was agreed only last Wednesday, - You heard it first on the GT Forum :thumbsup

But selling the GT!? NEVER !!! Most envied car in Italy ! :thumbsup .. Might still want one additional GT in Florida, though..

cheers

Definitely. All the cars legitimately for sale should be gone by the end of January. I'm sure there will still be a few $250k dealer demos out there, but the supply is gettin thin!

I'm very happy and proud to announce that I am doing my part to keep the values up and supply thin! I just bought another one! :biggrin Yellow with all options except calipers ( I specifically looked for one with the standard black brakes).

As the supply dried up I started thinking about what I would do if something happened to the one I have and there weren't any new ones to replace it. It got to where that's all I could think about. After picking my color (thanks Lamboman) I found out there were only 7 new left nationwide. Some were being driven by dealers or they wanted $200K but there were 2 offered to me at a realistic price under MSRP. One had gray brakes so I picked the one with black calipers. Should be here in less than 2 weeks.

Am I crazy? Do I need a shrink? After reading Centerpunch's story of obsession I stepped back and asked myself if I was going too far. Two of the same car just different colors? I thought for days about what else the same amount of money could buy me. I thought about every performance car out there, vacation homes, time shares, you name it. But nothing compared to the excitement and pride this car provides. I didn't want anything else so I bought the god damn thing! If you think about it, I would only lose a small percentage of the total investment anyway if I had to sell it in the future.

I'm almost as excited as when I bought the first one. God Bless America! :biggrin

P.S. One of these bad boys is gonna get a Whipple. :banana :banana

P.S.S. Did I mention I married the best woman in the world? :thumbsup

See you in Indy!

Yeah, call me stupid, call me obsessed. I still don't know if I'll actually go through with this crazy idea. Maybe sanity will set in...maybe my tolerant wife will finally intervene...maybe they will all be sold...

Ever since that dinner at Bart's place during SEMA staring at his freshly waxed beautiful Midnight Blue GT I can't stop wondering what it might look like next to the white one and the Heritage. Maybe just a poster on the garage wall would be better. We will see.

BTW- The F-car just doesn't get driven that much. Last time was to/from the dealer for the annual fluid change. With a choice I almost always pick the GT. The F430 was my first Ferrari and likely my last unless like Stefan I get a purpose track version.

I know you & Mrs. Texas GT will enjoy them both [now don't tell Mrs. Sipirt about this just yet, she has enough ideas on her own].

We are very happy for you.:banana
Indy will be a blast, look forward to seeing you up there again if not before.

Yeah you are absolutely certifiably crazy. :willy Welcome to the club. Two of the SAME color? I LOVE IT! There are quite a few guys that have multiple GTs but you are the only one I have heard of with two identical ones.

Hell, it sure doesn't take owing more than one to be crazy and obsessed with this car. The GT just brings out ownership passion from true car guys more than any other car I am familiar with. Maybe it is some potion that Ford treated the leather with at the factory??? :lol

It's clear that the supply is MUCH thinner than the current inventory details indicate. I just called 8 dealers on the list of those who still had cars looking for a car for a friend, and 6 of those cars were sold. If that holds throughout all the GT's left, there may be very few new cars remaining. :willy

<<Sales are highest all year, and 2x, 2yr. monthly avg.

Oct. New GT's: ~643

(-) Nov. Sold: (261)

New GTs available: ~382>>

Wait, I'm confused now....on the prior page of this thread we decided that there were 643 left in Spetember, minus 102 sold in October, which made 541. Another 261 sold in November, which leaves 280, not 382....correct?

280 left, 150 in dealer's permanent collections, 40 a week being sold=====> none left by Christmas!

Yes, there was some movement around the 640-540 range (b/c we are blindly gueesing dealer holdbacks for themselves).

We have got better info that says there are about ~250 out there.

You know, my two GT's, midnight blue & heratige were and are the best two moves I've made in the last 15 months..One to mod. with and one to just enjoy. I've owned many machines over the last 52 years but none can compare to the GT's. Let the supply dewindle away. Enjoy George

Ever since that dinner at Bart's place during SEMA staring at his freshly waxed beautiful Midnight Blue GT I can't stop wondering what it might look like next to the white one and the Heritage.

BTW- The F-car just doesn't get driven that much. Last time was to/from the dealer for the annual fluid change. With a choice I almost always pick the GT. The F430 was my first Ferrari and likely my last unless like Stefan I get a purpose track version.

Yeah, yeah, the midnite blue loooks greeat ! :wink :banana You already liked it last year when we went for a ride, put a Whipple on it or go past Tony G's in Jacksonville for a TT upgrade, that way you can justify it (although the garage should never become monotematic, tbc..) Now or never, buddy !

re the Ferrari, order a 430 'lite' (if you ask me, they probably will call it again Challenge Stradale, but that is not decided yet). Today I was told that in the trials it was one second faster than the 430 Challenge racecar, and has 580HP and just rocks... I sent the downpayment today. If you want me to try to slot you for a US spec car, PM me.. You might be the first in US to get one, I bet the dealers there don't even know about it yet. I think they will again make a very limited number, so the value will hold and you can get rid off it if you don't like it at a margin or at min break even..(like on the 360CS, with only 378 pieces ever made)

cheers

Stefan

I think your pals at Lonesome Ford have a fully optioned one available.
