Ferrari vs. Ford: Which is more appealing?

At the August 2nd, 2007 GT Rally at the El Toro field, an expensive and complex study was secretly underway by noted field scientists, PhD. A. Tomic and PhD. Sy Co. Amongst the subterfuge of the thrilling Saleen School of Speed, an elaborate study was concurently taken to objectively measure the subliminal responses of a test subject to appealing visual and auditory stimuli.

The attractive and youthful female subject was exposed at separate, but equal times to a Ferrari F550 Maranello and then alternatively to a limited production Ford GT. Financial costs were controlled, as the Ford GT maintains market value, and the Ferrari appears to have fallen in value to a point where both vehicles are currently reasonably close in price.

The controlled stimuli were both black, a color long suspected to create unexplained positive responses in subjects, both male and female.

An important directive of the event Thursday was to answer the critical sociological question: Which car is more appealing: A Ferrari or a Ford?

The "unbiased" results are below:

Test Vehicle A: Subject appears distracted, disinterested, averts gaze, and is otherwise non-responsive:

Test Vehicle B: Subject is alert, interested, and approaches the vehicle for a closer look:

550 Maranello vs. a Ford GT thats kinda unfair don't you think lol?

Randy, even though I own a Ford, I think this test was a bit unfair.
First off the F-car is a 3 year old 575 M and I believe had been picked up for around $35000.00 and a promise to pick up some unpaid service bills. Second, the reason the lovely Ms Regan turn away was due to the driver of the F-car was only 15 1/2. After sneaking dads keys and lining up for the course....well it was more than the poor guy could handle and he relieved himself all over the front seat of dads car.

Quite a messy site!

(The kid did run a 31 and change which was very low for the day)

Drs. Tomic and Co felt it important to make sure driver interaction was not an issue. So, an over-the-hill, graying, inexperienced driver (33+ seconds best lap) was used in the GT, and a young, competitive, soon-to-be pro driver was used in the F575.

The GT driver, happily married 11 years to this very date, used judgment and self control to keep eyes properly focused on the track ahead at all times.

'Sounds completely credible to me!

I think you are right, however I would like to do my own test. I have picked the nearest bar that the girls sometimes take off their clothes for tips........I will let you know.:cheers

Syco, your black on black GT, with the side stripe delete and the "Ford GT" left on is one of the most beautiful cars I have ever seen. Seeing it lined up in profile like the F575, no one could doubt which was the more appealing.

+1!

Thanks EP and Hammer! Very nice of you to say. A couple people took the time to come up to me and compliment my car, that was really nice and appreciated. I am so fortunate to have my GT. It was a tough decision to purchase, but it's an easy decision to keep.

That's a Bad Ride.
A Ferrari is like a Lear Jet, but a GT is like an F-16.

SYCO GT,

I had posted the same images in the Rally II Threads but deleted it. Glad to see you got it up, but the bottom line is there is a tremendous estrogen mediated precursor response that is uncontrolable towards the Black GT (hence the enhanced body language end target response), and the lack of pheromone reponse when the black Ferrari appears is simply a matter of lack of the same chemical interaction. And we all believe in chemicals, right?

Nice angled picture of the Black PSYCO GT.... wonder who the inexpereinced photographer was??? :thumbsup

Randy, once again you have out done yourself. Very sweet pics.

The GT in any color is simply more interesting and appealing than any other car on the street today IMO.

So many fine examples at the rally.

I wonder if anyone saw the Rolls out front of the hotel with the maroon Bently parked behind it. The Rolls made the Bently look like a Lexus coupe in comparison.

The same contrast is evident when viewing the GT vs. the Ferrari.

Yes, that is a gorgeous capture and perspective. It appears to have a credit line under the photo. Ah yes, the noted field scientist and sociologist,
PhD. A. Tomic.

The student becomes the master...:wink

That is just too cool. I love it!

Thank you for taking the time to do that and sharing with me. I am going to print it out on a glossy stock and put it up.

I haven't seen an all black with tinted windows yet either. I was always inclined to leave them clear, but a light tint might look nice...

Thanks again!

Tint looks killer, but would probably have problems with the heat in the engine bay.
