At the August 2nd, 2007 GT Rally at the El Toro field, an expensive and complex study was secretly underway by noted field scientists, PhD. A. Tomic and PhD. Sy Co. Amongst the subterfuge of the thrilling Saleen School of Speed, an elaborate study was concurently taken to objectively measure the subliminal responses of a test subject to appealing visual and auditory stimuli.
The attractive and youthful female subject was exposed at separate, but equal times to a Ferrari F550 Maranello and then alternatively to a limited production Ford GT. Financial costs were controlled, as the Ford GT maintains market value, and the Ferrari appears to have fallen in value to a point where both vehicles are currently reasonably close in price.
The controlled stimuli were both black, a color long suspected to create unexplained positive responses in subjects, both male and female.
An important directive of the event Thursday was to answer the critical sociological question: Which car is more appealing: A Ferrari or a Ford?
The "unbiased" results are below:
Test Vehicle A: Subject appears distracted, disinterested, averts gaze, and is otherwise non-responsive:
Test Vehicle B: Subject is alert, interested, and approaches the vehicle for a closer look:
