F1 2014


Just finished watching this new documentary on R&D of ferrari formula one for 2014. It is called "horse power." Wanted to share w my FGT friends who are interested in this sorta thing.

Thanks Anders but some law somewhere prevents US viewers from being able to view it. I think I saw it during qualifying yesterday, but not sure. Lots of cars got squirrelly in the rain.
 
Race was actually pretty good. It's going to be a chaotic season, that much is clear. Hamilton and Vettel done right off the bat, Ricciardo and Magnussen on the podium. This is not 2013, that's for sure.

The cars actually sound pretty good going around as a pack rather than one by one.

Link doesnt work in Canada either. Amazing... to get out of sideways at 150 mph!!!
 
I saw on news that Ricciardo was disqualified for something on fuel metering which Red Bull disputes. So Magnaussen got 2nd and Button got 3rd. McLaren goes from no podiums at all last year to 2 in first race of season.
 
Sucks for him. The Aussies must have been apoplectic.
 
Oh my. This battle at Bahrain between Rosberg and Hamilton. Wow. It is fair to say these guys are not friendly teammates.

The turbo V6 has injected some serious chaos and competition into Formula 1.
 
Major scrum. F-cars moonwalking backwards. Luca apoplectic.
 
This is just an awesome race. They can't switch cameras fast enough to get to all the back and forth fights.

Ferrari has serious issues. That turn in disgust was classic.
 
Incredible. Modern race car safety is just stunning. Gutierrez gets flipped over after getting speared and just hops out of the cockpit. .
 
It is nice to see several non traditional teams at the top 1/3

That was the best race in years. Awesome!

Ferrari leaving for the airport early. McLaren with a double retirement. Force India on the podium. Quite a day.
 
Wonder if any rule tweaks (fuel flow, RPM's) will be forthcoming to decrease the Merc advantage. Be interesting what, if anything comes forth from the FIA (Ferrari Improvement Association).

After all, we certainly can't let the best design win...???? Formula 1 has degenerated for years into just another spec race - come up with a good idea, and get penalized! :frown
