The June 2008 EVO has a nice 4 page article (w/nice pics) about the Avro 720 Mirage FGT. I will scan and post later.

It looks great in Orange! :thumbsup

I went out and bought the latest Evo, it was July. D'oh!

If you could scan and post....

Thanks

Great article. Thanks for posting it. :thumbsup

Interesting, Stillen did the first Orangeade GT, and now this series, I like it :-)

Excellent!

Many thanks.....

That was a good read.

Good article.

I saw the car in person at Roush as they were finishing installing the new shocks (dampers)...

The color is nice, but it is metallic which screams chav Fiesta to me.

Also look at the price.. offered at £179,400 (excluding the orange paint) which is equivalent to $352,500. With all due respect I think it's insane for a FGT with a whipple, a set of adj shocks (without remote gas canisters), bumper delete and Accufab exaust. But to each his own...

It's not my cup of tea either, however, congratulations to Andy at Avro and to David at Roush for keeping the GT flame alive over here. Articles in EVO are excellent for stimulating interest in the GT....

The price is not too far from what I paid for my GT! :eek But then I did HAVE to have one! :biggrin

A drop in the bucket for you mate...:tongue

I was at Roush again today and they had #2 sitting there...

I must say I was wrong about the paint. It is stunning. Also all the alluminium bids (fuel cap, trunk lever, fuel cap lever) the rearview mirrors, the frame etc are either powder coated in flat black or anodyzed.

It is really beautiful.

Still not sure about the $350k price tage, but the car that was there had 12 miles on the clock. I guess it is getting more and more expensive to find delivery mileage cars.

For the record both #1 and #2 were previously red/stripe/mac cars.
