Anyone have some info on the door ajar buzzer light.

Mine used to come on unless I slammed the clam shell and today it comes on nomatter what but only after I start driving. It flickers which causes the buzzer to keep going off.:ack

I think it is a clam shell adjustment but I dont know where the switch is to adjust it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Double check your pass. door and front hood too:thumbsup gtjoey 1314

Front hood has gotten me as well more than once!

I checked the doors but not the front hood. I'll do that when I head home from the office. Thanks guys.

Yep.... same here. Driving down the road, door ajar light comes on

- freak out, panic stock, check engine cover, doors, then the hood :thumbsup

Finally the GT GUYS showed me the right way to close the front compartment, which is to push down firmly on top of the latch... try it.:thumbsup

Mine did the same. I adjusted the striker several times but didn't help. In the end it was the front storage compartment door that was the culprit.

Man you guys are smart.....I love this site.:thumbsup

That's all it was the trunk err uhh the small area in front .....ok the glove box with a large hood like door:biggrin

Check the hinge bolts as well. After driving the car for a couple of hundred miles I couldn't open the hood/bonnet. Once I got the car inside I looked closely at the alignment and much to my surprise the hood had moved over to the driver's side fender which was causing the latch not to release.
After masssaging the panel back and forth I was able to open the hood and when I checked the hinge bolts all were very loose. I re-aligned the hood and tightened everything down and haven't had a problem since.
Moral - check those hinge bolts before your hood starts kissing one of your fenders.

I wonder how much attention was paid to this area. When I got mine and opened the hood in the showroom there was an extra bumper stop laying in the cowl area - bonus I guess.

This happened to me today, the ajar light kept going off with hard acceleration, just needed to close the "trunk" better

Yep, door ajar sensor got me yesterday also. Happened while driving after "spirited" take off on the ramp to the highway. When at speed, door ajar light comes on.

I verified it was the trunk by turning on the wipers. Remember that the wipers will only work one speed (fast only) if the front hood is open.m

At least it wasn't the rear clamshell..........
