Thanks.

I'll be getting the black and silver Dub City car as well, to go with my 1:24 '66 Le Mans winner.

BTW, AUTOart is releasing their 1:18 production version, in red and yellow. I'll probably wait until a Tungsten one is available (preferrably with the optional BBS wheels).

Bony, welcome to the site. Check the off topic section to enter the august giveaway contest of the Beanstalk 1:18 model.

Ford sells one through their website, if you go to the GT homepage and click on merchandise. Otherwise, you can pretty much Google "Ford GT model" and quite a few come up. www.Idcow.com has a few..

Here is a link to a few. There are many others on this site. The Ford GT website was out of the models when I called and are backordered.

There is another model I found on eBay in a larger scale - MOTORMAX 2005 FORD GT40 GT 40 CONCEPT 1/12 WHITE

This one's for BONY and all the other WHITE GT no stripe owners :) $4-$5 and it's a great value for the quality. You can see the engine with the blue valve covers, trunk lid vents, very accurate.

Best Diecast Models

The best Diecast products i have seen are by GMP Diecast. My B-in-Law has dozens of models, mostly 1:18 and has researched them all.

GMP had a nice display at Barrett-Jackson and was giving 100.00 discounts. All they have are GT-40s for now, no Ford GT yet i don't think. Here's their link:

AutoArt is the best.

Gentlemen,

Some time back BONY posted a link to a company that sold a Ford GT clock that looked like a brake rotor and caliper. The clock was exactly like one (signed by Camillo) that had just sold on eBay for over $1000. While cruising that site I came across these stunningly detailed die cast metal models. With very accurate engine compartments and interiors, the front wheels even turn when you move the steering wheel! AND they had all four sizes in yellow with black stripes to match my car!!! :thumbsup How cool is that! :cheers The littlest one and the biggest one are simple diecast models. The two middle sized ones are motorized slot cars. I don't remember what I paid for them but I think it was around $100 each for the bigger ones and about 40 bucks for the littlest one. The biggest one sits on my desk here at home and provides me with a quick hit "GT fix" without even going out to the garage. Cheers :banana:banana:banana

Here's a direct link to the all WHITE Ford GT. http://www.milezone.com/productView.asp?idproduct=5499&idCategory=
It's 1/64 scale but the car looks better than in the picture.
There's 11 left and you can order it with either white rims or silver rims (go for teh silver) Also you should be able to find it at Kmart, Target, Wal Mart, Toys R Us, Walgreens, Rite Aid and Meijer.
You may also want to browse these sites:
http://milezone.com/
http://www.3000toys.com/
http://www.1stopdiecast.com/
http://diecastalley.com/

Here's a couple of 1/25 scale plastic kits (yellow w/stripes and red w/stripes and ALL BLUE).
http://www.3000toys.com/catalog/item_list.asp?start=1&nsql=(contains(ftext,'_"ford*"__NEAR__"gt*"_')):OB:convert(varchar(64),ldesc);&setup=

For those looking for a blue with stripes, you could buy the all blue model and add white stripes yourself..?

The sad part is that Bony is going to buy the white GT, grind off the rear bumber, change the wheels, lower it 1/100 of an inch, and add carbon fiber touches all over it ;) hehe

I have several autoart red Ford GT's in 1:18 scale.

http://www.gtmodels.com/AUTOart/Ford/Ford-GT-2004-Red-with-White-Stripe-/product474.html#

But what I'd really like is a 1/12 scale as I have a couple of 1/12's of cars I've previously owned - including a superb yellow Murcielago and tungsten Vanquish.

I've also had some models made for me too! I've had two Aston Martins built for me in 1/64 - not just repainted existing casts, but specifically built - with my numbers on and the correct interiors etc.

Sad, ain't it?!
