Hi All,

Yesterday, at the car wash, the car wouldn't start after being washed and when I was able to keep her running, once in a few starts, she would run very rough and spew a ton of black smoke

Codes I get are:
P0720
P0068
P2196
P2198

Wondering if it could be the MAF, or the voltage divider I installed with the bigger blower way back? All fuses check out fine under the passenger's footwell. The engine bay never got opened or touched. They did use pressure washers up front - but I suspect that if something got wet, it would have shorted a fuse. The car cranks fine and catches for a second before dying.

P0720 = Output Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction
P0068 = MAP/MAF Throttle Position Correlation
P2196 = O2 Sensor Signal Stuck Rich (bank 1 sensor 1)
P2198 = O2 Sensor Signal Stuck Rich (bank 2 sensor 1)

I would suspect the Throttle Position Sensor cable (or the sensor itself), or the MAF sensor. An easy check would be to try to clean the MAF. Read up on how to do it - it's very sensitive. Use a high volatility cleaner very gently.

By the way, you can Google "Ford P0720 (etc)" and see the description of the code.

it starts and then immediately dies? is it getting fuel? the fuel pump relays are in the front of the car where "they used pressure washer"

I believe it is a board defect cussing a soft start problem. Easily fixable by the dealer. Call them and get it in.

If you have a Diablosport Mafia device (usual for bigger supercharger installs) then I would expect that has gotten wet. We now seal these in boxes when we fit them as they are prone to this. Easy way to check is just unplug it and plug the MAF in without going through the Mafia, if it starts and idles fine then that's your problem.

It Is the MAFia I have installed. I will try that 1st...thanks! Then will try the fuel pressure relays

That was the problem...MAFia was done. I bypassed it and the car started and ran - it choked a bit, I'm guessing due to the multiple times I had started it and unburnt gas sitting there. Drove it a few miles and she's starting and running fine now. Just can't get over 5K RPM now with 820 WHP and no MAF calibration, but I ordered an SCT MAF from Torrie and it should be installed shortly.
