When the DeLorean was new I didn't think it was very pretty. But now that 35 years have passed I think it's gotten slightly uglier.

There was an aftermarket lowering kit available back in the early/mid '80s that dropped a De Lorean's nose back down to where it was
supposed to be (maybe even a bit lower...I don't recall now) before U.S. bumper height regs dictated it be higher. Believe it or not, the installation of that kit made a night-and-day improvement in the car's looks. Opting for aftermarket
wheels would have helped too...but, due to the car's 'big-and-little' wheel sizes and their bolt pattern, those that
were available weren't all that much to look at (and were actually too narrow [or their offsets were wrong] as well as I recall).
There also was a T.T. kit (or two) available for the car back then...but increasing the car's 'zero' factory horsepower by 'X' percent still left the car with 'zero' h.p. ...which made $pending the money for one of those kits a dubious decision at best.
OTOH...swapping the car's factory Renault/Peugeot/Volvo V6 for a
Buick Grand National T.T. V6.........:willy
