Dead battery - how to get into car, key won't open the door. help !!!

I have a transport coming to haul my 06 gt.
I had a new battery tender on the car that evidently failed.
The battery is stone dead, the door will not unlock to open.
NEED RECOMMENDATIONS NOW !!!!!
 
key WILL open door. You have to PUSH IN on the door at the same time you are turning the key in the keyhole. It is difficult, so be careful, but it will open the door....
 
Could you pop the front boot and put a charger on the battery?

DO NOT turn ignition key until you know you have a good battery or you might damage your instruments.
 
You have to turn the key counter-clock wise....its hard to turn, but will pop it open; procedure is in manual

Installed a 2 amp trickle charger and will let it charge overnight before attempting to start.

What the hell....

This is a 4 year old thread. Is battery still dead? WTF does Fred have to do with anything?
 
IMHO - Bad practice to put a charger on the battery while in the car (in my opinion) due to the sensitivity of the gauges to voltage and current spikes. I always take the battery out for winter storage and NEVER charge the battery in the car. If I have to charge it due to it's "dead" - I disconnect the battery cables or remove it for benchtop charging only.

There shouldn't be ANY concern for putting a charger on the battery while in the car. As long as the key is off - there is physically no connection from the battery to the gauge control module or gauges. (This physical connection is made by turning the key to the "on" position.) As such, none of the electronics could "see" any kind of spikes or fluctuations.

Same thing happened to me but my battery is good
Think it has issue in ignition
