I have been a member of this Forum since 2006. Have used different Ford Dealers in the Los Angeles Calif area but I want to commend Michael Sera the Ford Gt
Service Technician. I needed a new clutch at only 13189 miles. I called a few dealers around town and was told that only a trained ford gt specialist could handle the job. To make a long story short, Mike Sera is so knowledgeable and a perfectionist and did a perfect job.
He can be reached at 805.497.2711. You won't be sorry. He is fantastic......My Ford GTX1 felt like I just took it home from the showroom a couple hours ago...

While we've done a couple of dozen clutch installations here in SoCal, we've also caught a few mis-diagnosed cases where the problem was the master clutch cylinder - and specifically low or contaminated fluid. The reservoir in the GT is extremely small and it tends to get contaminated much more quickly that the brake fluid (much larger reservoir). Inspection of the clutch fluid should be on everyone's to-do list. The clutch on the GT, properly driven, should have a VERY long service life as many owners here can attest to. Many of the clutches we have done were preemptive due to extreme HP mods or cases where non-owners have mistreated them.

I always mention that center is third that first is a push to the left and reverse is slam to left. starting in third is death. Or so some can attest
