Nobody is saying it will drop right in, but to have the mystique of the cammer nestled in your engine bay, it may be worth the effort! My Lord, look at the beauty of this one (in the very thread you were just on over in clubcobra):

OK. I understand your definition of "fit" now. Yes, if you heavily modify the engine bay by cutting the firewall, modifying the tunnel, moving engine mounts, suspension mods, etc., you can make it "fit". LOL If yours will look like this one, it definitely will be a beauty.
 
An alternative to the cammer. All aluminum two valve hemi 427. Drops right in.

Saw the copper '40 in Reno (Hot August Nights) at the Big Boy Toy store. They wanted $900K for it.
