Can curb rash on CF wheels be fixed?

Thanks
Simon

short answer yes.

Long answer, if its superficial resin, much easier to repair, if its down to the actual carbon fibers, can be repaired but you'll probably be able to tell. You can re layer the weave with new carbon, apply resin, trying to match the pattern as best as possible. Not an easy task to make it look perfect.

Im not an expert, so other opinions may very but thats my limited understanding.

I’m not sure I would trust a repair on a CF wheel of anything but very superficial damage.

here's something I found online a while back on carbon fiber repairs.

Ford said the CF wheels meet the same impact standards as all other OE wheels. And at a replacement cost of 9K apiece I would certainly repair one if it was possible. I’ve been very careful around curbs with my old GT and it would ruin anybody’s day to curb a NFGT CF wheel.

Yes they can be repaired, even heavily damaged carbon weave can be fixed to the point of being imperceptible of the repair. Don't just get new wheels.

Inquiring minds want to know, so for the record, I haven't damaged mine, yet.

Spare set any one?

Simple fix... don't hit hard things with the sides of your wheels.
