Just an FYI. The leeway given to non-owners on this site is minimal. The site started geared specifically towards owners and will remain that way. Things that will specifically draw the ire of the staff:

Businesses or photographers or others who say - "Great to see everyone again, hope to see you next week at the big meet at Point X!" with the vague insinuation they own a GT. Informing of an event is fine, but if I see the same thing copy and pasted on every exotic forum on the net, it will go away. This is happening more and more on every forum I visit. Be honest and lay out who you are and why you're telling everyone about the meet.

It took me exactly one click to find this CTRL+V'ed on another site. And it was on the next site after that. I'm cool with anyone telling people about big meets and gatherings BUT if you do nothing more than register with an email addy just to get a password for the forum to paste the SAME message it will be treated as SPAM!

I apologize. I don't own a GT. If the post is out of line, please delete it and thank you for the explaination.

Hey bud, it's not out of line. Nothing wrong with letting people know about big car meets. Just personalize it. Who are you, what kind of car do you have, how long has this meet been rocking, etc.

:cheers

Great. I'm Dwight and have a Lotus Exige. After the Cars for the Cure show last month a bunch of the owners thought it would be cool to get together once a month for a Cars and Coffee event like they do in Tampa and SoCal. I'm just the guy who solidified the plans. It's a real laid-back and informal event. No judges, no sponsers. Just owners coming together and talking about cars and what not. A great way to start the day, I must say.

We do have some plans as the group grows. Country drives after the event, track days, caravans to other events. This is only the second Orlando Cars and Coffee, so I want to inform as many people as I can, but I can see how that can look like spam. I hope we can get some GT owners to join us.

Dwight.

I own a FGT

I own a Ford GT and I go to this gentlemans event. My F430 is in his picture on the right.

Dwight i will drive my Ford GT to the next event.

I think you are doing a service to all exotic car buffs including FGt owners. You put on a wonderful easy going day for us car nuts thank you.:banana

I hope you expand it, maybe you should add a thred in the Lotus forum. Some of the guys i brought with me follow that board. i would love to see some Lambo's also. i am thinking of buying one and would like to ask some owner questions.

Great job and keep up the good work.

Thanks for the support Lee. I'm looking forward to seeing your GT.

There aren't any family-friendly events in Orlando that can bring owners from different groups together. It wasn't my idea to put this together, but it is a good idea so I ran with it.

Hopefully, the event will self-promote and spread via word-of-mouth. But someone's got to get the ball rolling.

I know of one Diablo owner that should be there. I'll send an email to the lambo dealer here and see if they want to bring a car out or have owners that would like to come. I don't want the event to become commecial but it may not be a bad idea.

Id be VERY interested in knowing if a stick shift LP640 would be there . Hint to dealer !!!!!1

Sorry, I couldn't get an LP640 out there. I'll work on Ultimate motor cars for next month.
I did post my pics up at http://dwightrjohnson.com/cnc-03-07
Maybe can get more GTs out next time - April 29th. Same time, same place.
